Here’s our exclusive interview with Ray Kurzweil, while he was over here in the UK last month for the LawTech Futures 2013 event in London. This is the only interview Ray gave while he was in the country – and in fact 5 minutes after we finished recording, he was in a limo on his way back to Heathrow.

Ediscovery panel session tomorrow: Frontline feedback on Jackson

This Wednesday (8 May) join a panel session on the Jackson developments so far. Hear from Mark Surguy (Partner at Eversheds LLP) and Johan Botha (Senior Case Manager at Herbert-Smith Freehills) as they discuss their experiences in working under the new procedures and the early lessons learnt. Andrew Haslam (Independent Litigation Support consultant from Allvision) will share feedback on an initiative to develop a Jackson protocol for use in one of the major courts.

Jackson seminar webcast available now

Last month Epiq Systems Inc hosted a panel debate in London on the impact of the recent Jackson changes to the civil procedure rules relating to costs, which came into force on 1 April 2013. A webcast of the event is available here.

The official app for next Tuesday’s LawTech Futures event in London is available now both for the iPhone and Android smartphones. We’ve been using an earlier version of the app for the last few days and have to say that – even if we weren’t involved with the event – this is one of the best events apps we have ever seen. LawTech Futures – 10 days to go

Today (Friday 19 April) and it is 10 days to go until LawTech Futures opens for business and Ray Kurzweil takes the stage. Along with a keynote and a book signing, we’ll also be filming an interview with him. And yes, to a question by a reader, he did also invent one the earlier musical synthesisers.
