OchreSoft kicks summer signings with Thrings + case study & whitepaper
Legal workflow specialist OchreSoft has announced details of the first of an anticipated half-dozen summer signings. It has been appointed by Top 100 law firm Thrings LLP to deliver its Intelliworks Conveyancing solution across both residential and general property teams.
The project, which is due to go live by the end of September, will see the deployment of OchreSoft’s core content-enabled workflow system, together with Client ID, Virtual Firm case tracking, and SDLT submission modules. Over 40 users will be accessing the fully managed, Cloud-based software as Thrings looks to leverage the functionality to support standardization, Conveyancing Quality Scheme adherence, cost-efficiency and business development.
With compliance a key driver for Thrings, the firm’s risk team was keen to review OchreSoft’s complete document and precedent bank, approving it without amendment. OchreSoft’s mix of lawyers, process designers and software developers, ensuring any regulatory changes are immediately and accurately reflected across content and workflow was another big tick in the compliance box.
Commenting on the decision to implement Intelliworks, Thrings’ Director of IT & Facilities, Chris Harding, said: “Thrings has always concentrated on providing a bespoke, client focused conveyancing service. The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), designed to further improve the consumer experience, is something we welcome with open arms. After considering the requirements of the CQS we decided the way forward for Thrings was a new case management solution. OchreSoft’s IntelliworksTM scored highly throughout the pitching process; their mix of comprehensive in-house conveyancing practice knowledge and development expertise, and the client focused and user-friendly product made them a winner.
“The implementation process has been smooth, building on the excellent working relationships between the internal project team and OchreSoft’s implementation team. Being a fully managed Cloud based solution there is an added benefit of no additional infrastructure requirements for the IT team at Thrings, allowing us to continue to focus on technology initiatives for our core business.”
Richard Bretherton, chief executive, OchreSoft, added: “While we, as a vendor, are very focused on the unique nature of our multi-tenanted platform and all the advantages that software as a service can bring, it was interesting to see that, as far as Thrings was concerned, it was all about regulatory compliance and ease of implementation. They ran a very diligent tendering exercise, short-listing five from twelve and putting those five through an intensive final selection process. We came through because in our conveyancing workflow, they saw all the tools they needed to underpin their operational objectives – that the workflows were readily available and complete, as opposed to needing lengthy engineering out of a supplied toolkit, was a welcome bonus.”
