Research report says PowerSearch could be the Skype of ediscovery
According to independent technology industry analysts 451 Research “DATAssimilate’s PowerSearch brings PayPal-palatable pricing to ediscovery.” The report, written by David Horrigan, says “the unique pricing model of PowerSearch alone makes it an ediscovery application to watch” and that “its pricing model could make PowerSearch the Skype of ediscovery.” In addition to PowerSearch, the report talks about the ECA market as a whole.
“As electronically stored information has become a part of everyday life, e-discovery has become part of everyday litigation. Yet, solo practitioners and small firms trying everyday legal matters have often been priced out of the traditional ediscovery market,” said Horrigan. “Ediscovery applications such as PowerSearch fill a void as e-discovery moves beyond being only for Big Law firms and corporate legal departments working on complex commercial litigation.”
