Something for the weekend: do you remember when?
Those very nice people at Smart WebParts have been getting all nostalgic and have just put together this infographic showing 42 years of legal IT history. Sadly, the Insider office remembers using an IBM Selectric – and we still remember a former head of IT at the English Law Society who accused us of spreading malicious gossip when we suggested WordPerfect wordprocessing software running on a PC would make Wang systems obsolete. (Mind you we also remember when Wang UK’s management had to explain to their bosses in the US why a new maintenance and support contract should not be called Wang Care.)
