RBRO Solutions COO departs for 360insights

RBRO Solutions’ chief operating officer Dennis Croft has left the company, only shortly after the departure of APAC general manager Alan McCombe and senior UK representatives Lee Huggett and Adam Wiles.
Croft was appointed as COO in September 2016 as part of a significant structure reorganisation of the Toronto-headquartered company that saw founders and co-chief executive officers Howard and John Russell take on split roles.
Under a “more streamlined” RBRO set up, John became chairman and Howard took on the role of sole CEO. Croft reported to Howard, with his hire representing a “major milestone as [RBRO] progress towards their new vision and implementation of their growth strategy.”
Croft left in June for 360insights, a SaaS corporate incentives management platform.
The move will undoubtedly raise eyebrows in the market, given that it is now the fourth significant departure from RBRO in as many months. McCombe, who was brought in to the Canadian-headquartered software company as general manager in 2011 to start its Asia Pacific arm, recently left the company, with RBRO focussing heavily on its channel partner programme in the region.
In the UK, the departure earlier this year of senior technical consultant Huggett for iManage and account manager Wiles for HighQ has prompted clients to worry that RBRO is exiting the UK, however Russell said last month: “We are already planning for our growth in the UK. We expect and believe the UK market can support a good robust team. Our goal is to ensure that no balls are dropped in interim, which is why we have a team in Toronto supporting Dan and we have people coming over from Toronto to support him.”
Howard Russell told Legal IT Insider today (6 June): “We’re on a pretty neat journey and that journey involves the right people coming in at the right time to help us move forward with key growth initiatives.
“In this regard, Dennis came and did a great job and our positive relationship with him will continue beyond his departure. He leaves us in a strong position: we’re doing well in the UK and our global sales continue to grow.  These are great things!”
Correction: In the May Legal IT Insider we said that RBRO had always had a very channel focussed model in Australia and Indonesia – that should have read Australia and Singapore.
