One-stop-shop practice management system provider PracticeEvolve has continued to invest globally and added eight new roles in its Australia headquarters, we’re told, capping off a busy start to 2019 with five new clients going live on their PMS technology in the first two months of the year.

The new firms include Tierney Law and Keyworth, Harris & Lowe Family Lawyers.  They join a community of more than 200 law firms in the region.

The wins follow PracticeEvolve’s first ever UK win last year after its launch in July: Setfords solicitors, with over 200 consultant lawyers nationwide, in September became the first UK firm to deploy the Practice Evolve Plus solution. Then CEO David Boland – who in November was made global CEO and relocated to Ireland – said at the time: “Our UK expansion is now well and truly underway.”

In January that number grew: Silk Family Law in Newcastle and Wilson McKendrick in Glasgow both selected PracticeEvolve to replace the end-of-lifed Thomson Reuters Elite Envision (aka Pilgrim LawSoft) PMS.

James Parker, who was brought in from Infotrack to take over as CEO of PracticeEvolve  said: “We have recently made major investment in expanding our teams globally and locally, adding eight brand new roles to our team here in Australia.  These are largely in the client service teams to ensure that we continue to build the excellent service quality and active product development that modern law firms need to maintain their competitiveness.”

The wins come as the end of life of both Envision and Enterprise have thrown the market into turmoil and particularly among firms outside of the UK top 75, created further opportunities for vendors providing a solution that includes accounting reports, invoicing, document management, and automatic time recording functionality.
