Applications Analyst – Estera Group
The Application Analyst’s primary responsibility is to administer and enhance the core business applications of the Estera Group, and to develop solutions as required by our clients.
The Applications Analyst will assist the Applications and Development Manager to coordinate and undertake the operational activities of the Applications and Development team, as well as provide expertise and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all Application systems, including but not limited to Aderant Expert, HP Autonomy Worksite, Viewpoint, Linedata and Mantra.
•Where necessary, re-engineer systems design to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision
•Review performance of Application systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements
•Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT Applications in the group
•Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
•Ensure compliance with all relevant IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision
•Mentor, and train junior members of the applications and development team
•Establish and maintain regular communications with the department heads, and end users regarding IT activities
•Keep current with the latest technologies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Previous relevant Application experience in a professional services organisation
•Solid understanding and technical knowledge of Aderant Expert, Viewpoint, iManage Worksite, Intapp (Integration Builder & Wallbuilder), Linedata and Mantra or similar systems
•Creation of MIS financial and BI reporting using Microsoft SSRS
•A strong technical understanding of accounting applications
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
•Experience with systems Architecture, design and development from business requirements
•Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
•Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
•Ability to conduct research into IT issues and products
•Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
•Highly self-motivated, proactive and attentive to detail
•Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Must be able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative multi-jurisdictional environment
•Energy and enthusiasm to support to the future growth and success of the business
