Product Manager / Innovation Manager / Business Development Manager
c. £70K
Central London

A major membership organisation within the professional services industry is looking for an innovative and business savvy Product Manager with an entrepreneurial approach, to ensure that the product portfolio is up-to-date with members’ needs and interests. Products (mainly online and software) will potentially include e-learning, services, CRM software, portals and many more.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Implementing the client’s Commercial strategy with particular focus on identifying, assessing and developing potential new commercial opportunities and investments.
• To deliver recommendations and early stage propositions that extend the client’s offering and brand for the benefit of members based on strategic, market, operational and financial understanding and analysis
• Responsible for progressing potential commercial opportunities from idea stage through to approved investment case and subsequent early stage business incubation
• Responsible for incubating all new areas that are created providing go-to-market and product development direction until such point as they are ready to embed elsewhere into the business
• Translate strategy and member needs into deliverable propositions

Experience the client is looking for:
• Extensive experience with market research
• Building business cases and pitching new product internally in order to ensure internal buy-in from key stakeholders
• Proven successful in take-to-market of new online/software products
• Conducting financial analysis of existing businesses and potential new propositions
• Working within a highly professional environment in professional services

The ideal candidate is someone who:
• through a structured methodology of market research can gain an in-depth understanding of members’ needs and future product opportunities
• is educated to degree level or relevant experience – ideally MBA educated, but this is not a prerequisite
• has strong communicating and influencing skills with senior stakeholders internally and externally
