The MCS Group, Inc., a national provider of outsourcing solutions, announced today the company has partnered with Veritone, a leading provider of artificial intelligence insights and cognitive solutions, to bring AI to MCS clients for virtually any type of media – including audio and video files – within Relativity.

Veritone directs AI technology to provide near real-time media capture, processing, indexing and search capabilities to its clients across a broad range of markets. The MCS Group is one of the latest companies to partner with Veritone to revolutionize the legal industry by adopting its innovative and unique AI-based processing and search technology to afford a secure, scalable and cost-effective platform for enriching and managing audio and video data in litigation discovery and compliance processes.

The foundation of any eDiscovery process starts with the defensible identification, preservation and collection of data, from any source, anywhere, anytime. Veritone’s proprietary technology can render every second and frame of audio and video content searchable for keywords, phrases, faces, sentiment, objects and more. The Veritone aiWARE™ platform intelligently orchestrates over 125 best-of-breed cognitive engines and robust applications to reveal valuable multivariate insights in near real-time from vast amounts of unstructured data. It can produce an index of the processed data within minutes – a process that as recently as 2015 could take thousands of hours.

“Adding Veritone to our portfolio of offerings showcases our continued dedication to making e-discovery easy and possible for all media types,” states Stephen Ehrlich, chief information officer, The MCS Group. “Prior to Veritone aiWARE, processing of evidentiary media – including transcribing and translating audio and video files – was often not done because of the inability to incorporate and review them within eDiscovery review tools. In the same way that eDiscovery solutions years ago enabled automated analysis of large volumes of text documents, our partnership with Veritone has now enabled hyper-scale, automated analytics of audio and video for our eDiscovery and compliance clients.”
